I think Nvidia is working on CPUs for desktop computers, and will release it in the future.

It may take some time for Intel to fix their reputation, and prove their CPU are reliable.

Hard to say if their work will be good enough to out do the work put in by AMD's progress.

Nvidia's CPU are found in the Nintendo Switch, Android tablets, and some Chromebooks, so they maybe good enough for gaming depending on how powerful the CPU is.

I feel the next Switch console may still useca Nvidia CPU, so older games are easier to make compatible with the new console.

I think Nintendo can make a newer game consoles with a Tegra X1 CPU and a faster newer CPU, so it can play more older Switch games, and possibly older Wii U and Wii games.

I heard older release versions of the PlayStation 3 can play most PS2 games because it has a PS2 CPU and video chip built-into the release versions of the PS3.
